About Amy Pfeffer Orchard Buffalo

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mrs. Pfeffer focuses on helping children and families. She helps her clients learn how to deal with problems in a healthy way, grow, and deal with problems caused by past trauma. During her career, she has helped clients with a wide range of problems, such as sexual abuse, PTSD, physical abuse, parenting, marriage and couples, depression, conduct disorder, chemical dependency and substance abuse, anger management, anxiety, autism, trouble adjusting, and ADHD.

Mrs. Pfeffer's services are focused on treatments that have been shown to improve the mental health of children, teens, and families. Some of these are Trauma-Informed Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. She keeps an open mind about how therapy and mental health are always changing. She also stays educated and up to date on new research that can help her clients.

Amy Pfeffer from Buffalo uses traditional forms of therapy, but she also uses her dog, Roxy, as a service dog during sessions. She went through the Pawsitive for Heroes (WNY Heroes) program to train Roxy to be a service animal.
